I began my journey with Dr. Edward Salib at Desired Medical Solutions before he had an actual office in Punta Gorda. He was offering Concierge Services and would come to my house.  He gave me the confidence and encouragement to lose weight.
I lost about 25 lbs and hit a plateau. Feeling very discouraged, Dr. Salib gave me the confidence to get over the plateau and lose 10 more lbs.
I was having regular lab tests and during one of them, Dr. Salib noticed something that didn’t seem quite right. After further testing he discovered I had kidney cancer. Fortunately he caught it in the early stages so I had a kidney removed. I credit Dr. Salib with saving my life because he was diligent enough to catch my cancer before I even had any physical symptoms and it hadn’t spread. During all of this, I had gained back some of my weight, so after allowing my body to heal, I went back to him.
By this time, Dr. Salib had opened up a new office and his wife, Dr. Allison Salib,  was offering acupuncture treatments as well.  I had never tried acupuncture, but after speaking with her, I decided to give it a try. She is as wonderful as he is and has helped me not just with weight loss, but with other medical issues as well.
My boyfriend has chronic back pain and after seeing how she had helped me, he very skeptically, gave acupuncture a try. Dr. Allison Salib has helped him immensely.  Now he is a firm believer in acupuncture and Dr. Allison Salib.
I now have lost over 35 lbs, have been able to discontinue blood pressure and cholesterol medications and I feel wonderful.
Even their receptionist/ nurse, Emily, is friendly, welcoming and caring. She goes out of her way to make sure that if I have to cancel or reschedule an appointment, I am put on a waitlist for any cancellations.

I spent weeks searching for a program to help me lose weight. Nothing I researched seemed to have the success rate that I was looking for. Then I heard about Desired Medical Solutions and began researching the program. Again for several weeks. I could only find positive feedback on the program so I decided to make an appointment. I met with Dr. Salib and his assistant Emily and found them delightful and informative. I decided to take the plunge and booked an appointment. It was the best decision I have made. I have been loosing weight and feeling great! The atmosphere in their office is very welcoming and encouraging. Dr. Salib is always available to answer questions and goes far beyond “just” weight loss and Emily is a ray of sunshine as she greets you, always with a smile! I started my weightloss journey on Nov 11. And I wouldn't go back and change my choice. Dr. Salib was very informative during my consultation and answered all of my questions. I also love Emily! She is very supportive of every patients progress! The team is amazing and I can't wait to hit all my weightloss goals with them! 17 lbs down in a little less than a month! Dr. Salib’s weight loss program has changed my life for the better. Dr. Salib provides individualized and compassionate care to his patients. His compassion for his patients shows with the time he takes to get to know you and the way he genuinely listens to understand what you need help with. His medical assistant Emily is also always so helpful and it is always a pleasure to see her in the office. I have lost close to 30 pounds since starting at Desired Medical Solutions. Dr. Sahib is easy to talk to and listens to any concerns I might have while continuing on the program. Suggestions are made on how to maintain the weight loss. My blood pressure is down which is so important. I made a good decision when I decided to come here.
